Support services team: Caring, skilled, and supportive.
My name is Chris I have been an independent support worker since 2020 and prior to that 9 years’ experience as a disability support worker in group homes. I hold a Certificate IV in disability support, a Diploma of community services and Diploma of Counselling.
I provide support for my clients at home and in the community by helping to get the things done that they want to get done. Often this involves running errands if one of my clients is not up to doing it themselves on the day. In my clients’ home, I can assist with cleaning, meal preparation, lawn mowing and garden maintenance. In the community I help my clients attend appointments, have morning coffee, and eat out, with day-to-day shopping, as well as seeing a show or a movie. My other support activities include bicycle riding, having barbeques, swimming, surfing, walking, sightseeing, relaxing at the park or beach, and fishing.
We can work towards a long term goal or a daily plan or both or change as we need to.
I have a discreet well serviced unmarked car and wear casual dress.
This is what some of my clients say about me.
‘Chris is the number one’.
‘ Chris has also been a great listener when I have needed to chat about things that have been negatively impacting my life and mental health and he is someone I can also share the positive things with. He has been respectful and has given me some really great advice. Chris is someone who really cares about my wellbeing’.
‘Chris and I have a phone and video link contact welfare system set up…I would surely recommend Chris as a good fun interesting caring support peer person’.
I look forward to hearing from you and to exceeding your expectations.
