I was looking for a new support worker in April 2021 after my previous support worker had moved out of town. I found Chris on the web and had a look at his profile. His profile was great and he had a lot of experience in the field, his profile also said he had surfed for all of his life and I myself am a surfer so I decided to send him a message. Chris was quick to respond and we set up a meeting time. After Chris and I met I decided that he was the right fit. Chris was very responsive via email and text and we quickly sorted out an agreement.

I let Chris know from the get go that I was looking for surfing supports to improve my skills and to build my confidence in the community. Chris has helped massively in these areas. Chris has shown me how to be safe in the water by giving me knowledge around rips, currents, how to get back to shore if needed, how to duck dive to get under waves and the areas of the ocean when I’m surfing that I shouldn’t be resting in. Chris has shown me how to read surf reports winds, swell etc, how to read waves, how to properly ride a wave and has even shown me how to repair boards. Chris has given me surfing experience that I can use for the rest of my life. Chris has also been a great listener when I have needed to chat about things that have been negatively impacting my life and mental health and he is someone I can also share the positive things with. He has been respectful and has given me some really great advice. Chris is someone who really cares about my wellbeing. If I’m ever not willing to do something during our supports he respects that and we do something else during our supports. Chris has given me increased confidence in my daily life and has been a great support when we go out into the community. Chris and I would go out for lunch on our supports and having Chris around in these situations has greatly helped my anxiety. Chris has written supporting letters for my NDIS applications and has been a great support for planning meetings.

I would definitely recommend Chris if you are looking for a support worker who truly cares about your well-being and mental health and I will always remember the positive impact he has had on my life.

A performance report regarding Chris Mason freelance carer. for recipient Xxxxx (Name Removed)
18 months ago I was in a lot of physical pain level 9 – 10.which lead to a very strong mental stress. So I contacted the web online.care service . So I set up a one-on-one meeting at my home. Chris came in and sat;; He introduced himself and I did likewise..We discussed my health and mental state and that I have had other carers in the past but they didn’t work out too well… I also added that I have spent many days in bed not able to move…Chris suggested that there will be a rule of support and rehabilitation along with encouragement and rebuilding of self steam . Along with fun and going places to learn how to walk and do house work without exhaustion and pain, And to improve and decongest lung infection.. Well it has been some time and Chris started to care for me.. He spends 4 to 5 hours a day with me Tuesday and wednesday. I have been in bed all day ,then walking using a walking frame and then walking with a stick . I still had intense leg ,hip and back pain and arm pain, with angry mental dispositions. Chris has encouraged me to take day trips so I could widen my photographic interest.. Now I can do my own day trips with little pain until I walk. so with encouragement from Chris i can do some walking and house work.. now i have stiff muscle pain walking..I have come a long way from bed all day. I can now walk unaided and still improving./ Chris and I have a phone and video link contact welfare system set up…I would surely recommend Chris as a good fun interesting caring support peer person. In our client and career relationship we both talk out any decision to where we go and what we do. so we both have an interest, like kayaking walking lunch and day drive to where ever,
